Access and Accomodation: Tirupati, the town at the foothills of Tirumala is well connected by train with several cities in India, the closest being Chennai (Madras). A well planned trip can cover Kalahasti, Tirumala, Tirupati and Tiruchanur in a single day.  Tirupati can boast of a number of hotels and restaurants.
