The States of Gujarat and Rajasthan are home to several pilgrimage centers and sites of archeological significance with Nagara temples in their fully developed form. The marble temples of Mount Abu and Ranakpur in Rajasthan, the sun temple at Modhera, the pilgrimage centers of Somnath and Pushkar are just to name a few. The Golden Temple at Amritsar in Punjab is of great religious significance to the Sikh religion.

 

Sun Temple at Modhera: Even in its ruined state, the ancient sun temple at Modhera is a magnificient structure. Somnath is the foremost of the 12 Jyotirlinga Shrines of Shiva, held in reverence throughout India and is rich in legend, traditions and history.
Nageshwar near Dwarka is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. Dwarka - considered to be one of the Abodes of Krishna is a pilgrimage shrine of great antiquity in Saurashtra in Gujarat. Eklingji: This ancient Shiva temple near Udaipur was held in high regard by the Rajputs, and has many interesting features.
Harashat mata Temple at Abhaneri: In the village of Abhaneri near Udaipur are several archeological remains from the yesteryears.

The Sun Temple at Ranakpur: is a magnificient structure in white soapstone. It is located in the vicinity of the grand Jain temple complex in Ranakpur in Rajasthan.
Golden Temple at Amritsar: Revered as one of the holiest shrines in the Sikh faith, the Golden Temple is located in Amritsar in Punjab. Pilani Birla Mandir: This modern temple built of marble  in the Nagara style, is housed in the University town of Pilani in Rajasthan. Mount Abu: Described as a shreer dream in marble, the ornate  white marble Dilwara temples of Mount Abu dating back to the 11th century display intricate carvings.
Nathdwara: Enshrining Srinathji, or Govardhana Giridhari, this temple is one of the most revered pilgrimage centers in Rajasthan. The Ambika temple at Arasur in Gujarat is regarded as one of the Shakti Peetha shrines of India.
