        Mahabalipuram Deities: Stalasayana Perumal (Vishnu) This ancient temple, now renovated thoroughly during the 19th century, goes back to the Pallava period, and has been sung by the Alwar Saints. It is one of the 108 sacred Sree Vaishnavite shrines. Vishnu in his reclining posture is worshipped here.
