Ranganatha Temple at Srirangapattana near Mysore(Karnataka)

Deities: Ranganatha (Vishnu)

This temple dedicated to Vishnu was built by the Gangas in the 9th century AD on the island of Srirangapattana. Three centuries later, the temple was fortified and improved upon architecturally. Thus the temple is a medley of Hoysala and Vijayanagar styles.Hyder Ali is said to have made endowments to this temple.
